There is a definite chill in the air which means one thing... Christmas is just around the corner! If you are looking to do something unique for your team this Christmas, why not consider a water based option. Option A - Dinner on a privately owned motor vessel capable of hosting up to 120 guests. Sailing from Ocean Village the vessel will embark on a gentle cruise in Solent waters. The restaurant where dinner will be served after an optional welcome drink is simply stunning, and looks like the orient express with brass & wood décor throughout. Following dinner the bridge deck will be open for dancing. Options are available from £30 per head. Option B - Clay shooting with canapes and stylish bowl food on board an 85ft luxury motor yacht on the River Thames; a former flagship vessel of the Port of London Authority. Expert instructors will run a number of competitions with a selection of shotguns before the on board chef serves a delicious selection of food. Sailing times can be flexible and with a capacity of 38 guests on board. Contact us for further information on 01590 674900 or email firstname.lastname@example.org quoting 'Christmas'.

Cowes Week Ltd and Aberdeen Asset Management (for whom Solent Events are official charter supplier) are working in partnership to appoint an official charity for Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week. 2013 was the final year of a three year tenure for Toe in the Water, a charity who use competitive sailing to re-inspire injured service personnel to see beyond their injuries. From the range of applicants for the three year period from 2014, three charities have been shortlisted; The Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation - Professional sailor Andrew Simpson tragically lost his life in a training accident on San Francisco Bay in May 2013. The foundation works to honour Andrews life and legacy by encouraging youngsters into sailing, as well as providing apprenticeships for those who are aspiring to follow careers in the industry. RYA Sailability - the Royal Yachting Associations charitable arm, which encourages and supports people with disabilities to take up sailing and facilitates sites to develop sailing opportunities. UKSA - A youth charity offering transformational opportunities to young people through sailing and watersports. Their work is focused on youth development, schools and groups, and professional training. Voting couldn't be easier! Follow THIS LINK to vote for your preferred charity.
