Corporate Sailing at Cowes Week

Investing in Cowes for the future…

More improvements and investment being made in Cowes

After just a couple of weeks ago announcing that they would be starting a new dredging project, run by Jenkins Marine, to allow for maintenance of depths – enabling a wider breadth of yachts and larger boats over the coming year, Cowes Yacht Haven have also invested in a new mobile crane that will safely lift boats weighing up to 15 tons. The crane will improve the boatyard services already available at Cowes Yacht Haven, which is home to international regattas and sailing events such as Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, The Little Britain Cup Challenge, J.P. Morgan Round the Island Race and will allow for a wider range of customers to make use of the lift and launch packages.

Cowes Yacht Haven is substantially reinvesting in the marina this year which is very exciting for Solent Events as we extensively use this marina for our events. Having a superb events centre right on site within walking distance of the pontoons makes this a great venue to be used in conjunction with marine based hospitality. From BBQ lunches and evening Gala Dinners to conferences and exhibitions, this is a very flexible venue that can cater for small or large groups.

Jon Pridham, managing director of Cowes Yacht Haven, said: “We’re committed to investing in the services we have available at Cowes Yacht Haven in order to maintain our position as the best destination for sailing. These investments will benefit everyone who uses our marina.”

We’ll be seeing a lot of the marina in the upcoming months and wish it every success for the future.
