Last weekend, 42 performance yachts started the 12th edition of the double handed Transat Jacques Vabre race. The race follows the historic coffee trading route between Le Havre, France and Salvador de Bahia, Brazil.
The start was in very light winds making it a challenging tactical race from the gun. Typically the 4 classes immediately spread out into size and speed capabilities, however with the conditions the fleet remained intermixed for the best part of half an hour. This heightening the atmosphere for the thousands of spectators who lined the beaches, head land and every inch of Le Harve Docks.
Our sister company Solent Rib Charter had Ribs at the event supporting British entrant Hugo Boss.
