We are working hard to ensure our events offer the very best food, accomodation and events spaces for our clients ahead of the 2017 season.
Set in the heart of Cowes, Isle of Wight amongst the pastel cottages of the ‘old town’ stands North House, the newly renovated theatre turned hotel. North House’s recent revamp has transformed it into a calming and cosy escape, it boasts genuine period features and antique furniture set against modern cool greys and whites for an old meets new feel, with authentic fireplaces and brass fixtures and bespoke Farrow and Ball wallpapers throughout. Perhaps the star of the hotel is the cosy bar, perfect for a nightcap or one of their…….cocktails.
The hotel’s restaurant, ‘The Oyster Store’, seats up to 50 people and caters for all eating…. with a bit of notice. Utilising local Isle of Wight produce, the menus are inspired by traditional British dishes with an Italian twist and adapted seasonally for the best flavours. The belly rumble inducing menu includes The Oyster store Goan seafood curry and wild rice, and a rather scrumptious market fish of the day, capers, lemon, garlic and sauteed new potatoes.
As well as delicious dinners, North House also serve afternoon teas. Utterly charming and the perfect place to relax after a long day on the water.
It’s location is a mere stone’s throw from the main high street and only minutes walk from both the Red Jet terminal and the Island’s largest marina; Cowes Yacht Haven. Cowes sea front is the best spot on the Island to watch some of the world’s best inshore races including Cowes Week and Round the Island.
