What we do

Corporate sailing regattas usually start small before growing into much anticipated annual events, attracting widespread interest within an industry sector.

The format of a branded corporate sailing regatta works exceptionally well, with obvious benefits to the firm that instigates the regatta and thus retains the branding rights indefinitely.

Getting a regatta going

Please contact us to work through how to evolve a corporate regatta for your market sector. In the early years, the events are typically modest in size yet still work spectacularly well.

We advise organising a single day of racing in the first year, with the host company taking a handful of boats and then attracting interest from suppliers and customers (maybe even competitors..) on a boat by boat basis – where each new company team takes a boat.

We think it is essential to have at least one evening event for prize giving as well as social and networking opportunities. It is common to combine this with a charity auction and a band or DJ.

Leave the detail with us

Solent Events will take care of all the detail from accommodation to themed gala dinners, transportation, trophies, branded clothing, goody bags, flags, banners and various forms of yacht branding.

Whilst it is traditional for crews to sleep on the boats in normal regattas, this is inadvisable for corporate events. Space on board is very limited and large crews will struggle to find enough bunks. Instead, leave it to us to arrange your accommodation as part of our event management service.

Your event will be assigned a senior event manager to guide you through the options and be available in the run up to ensure your objectives are achieved and your event matches your reputation. Pre-event site visits are encouraged and will give you the confidence in us, our venues and our suppliers.

Sailing Events

If you like the idea of sailing in a big event you could participate in the world’s largest yacht race. The Round the Island Race attracts over 1,700 boats, with as many as 16,000 competitors and we provide race prepared 40 – 70 foot yachts with a minimum of a professional skipper and mate.

We also have a range of top class race-prepared yachts available for Cowes Week, one of the great events on the sailing calendar. Whether you would just like to take part or you want to sail a racing machine, we will take care of all the details to find the best fit for your team, your objectives and your budget.
