Race spectacle

We are then back out on the water for the best seats in the house at the Needles to watch the rounding of the main fleet, as hundreds of yachts jostle for the best racing line around the iconic lighthouse whilst trying to avoid submerged rocks and the wreck of the Varvassi. You'll then get to experience one of the most amazing sights in sailing as the yachts hoist their colourful spinnakers and take off down-wind towards St Catherine’s Point on the Southern point of the Island.

We are free to continue following the fleet or return to shore for a delicious lunch at a carefully selected waterside yacht club or restaurant before heading to Cowes once again to catch up on the action as the yachts cross the finish line.

Ribs shrink every journey to a matter of minutes. Whilst you might hope for blue skies and flat seas, the essence of these boats is their ability to traverse mountainous seas in complete safety. We supply high quality, breathable wet weather gear to ensure you step ashore toasty and dry should conditions necessitate their use.

Event support

Ribs are perfect for viewing the spectacle but are also often booked by teams taking part. They are ideal for taking sponsors and supporters into the heart of the action and after the event, moving crew back to the mainland independently of busy ferries.

Complete flexibility

Ribs are chartered by the day during the Round Island Race although you are welcome to use the boats for as little or as much of the day as you chose. The skipper, boat and unlimited fuel are included in the price.

Best value

We own Europe’s largest fleet of Ribs. You can therefore be assured that you have come to the right place for the best boats and the best value not to mention peerless expertise and experience.
